Fly Fishing Adventures for Everybody

Most of our guests do not want to hard-core hike, which is just fine. Perhaps better than any other lodge in Bristol Bay, we have the ability with our boats, rafts and planes to make your trip as leisurely as you like. Imagine landing on the dunes next to a remote trophy Char river with no other anglers for miles; you will literally roll out of the plane into the river. For years Rapids Camp Lodge has been diligently working on our ability to provide the worlds most desirable custom fishing program.

Lesser Known Rivers Hiking Program

Our highly seasoned pilots and guides offer a full-blown hiking program for the athletic and aggressive anglers. This is your chance to lay it on the line. There are quite a few known, but rarely fished rivers in Bristol Bay. No other lodge offers more intrepid locations than us. Historically most lodges shy away from offering longer hikes into some of these really productive rivers - we love it and welcome healthy anglers to see places rarely fished. Of course, this part of our program is volunteer only and we never suggest that hiking is the only way to fish with us.

3 and 4-Day Trips Available

For those folks with just a few days in their schedule to experience the real wilderness of Alaska, we have perfect accessibility to Anchorage. Although just a short hop from Anchorage, Rapids Camp Lodge is a world away.

Going Green

Every thought has been put into accessing the wilderness with minimal impact. RCL implemented a water bottle program this past year to great success, no more filling the King Salmon landfill with plastic. We are committed to keeping our Alaska beautiful. This is one of the reasons we support Sportsman’s Alliance for Alaska fighting against the Pebble Mine as well as many other conservation programs.
